A trailblazer, innovator and leader; Leah MacNab has spent over 15 years at NBA Canada in a plethora of roles and is leading the organization to new heights in an industry that we know is significantly important to drive connection, community and of course competition.

Leah is an example of someone who has personally and professionally broken the glass ceiling. Canada is universally known as a hockey country (especially 15 years ago) but through her leadership the NBA has made transformative change, driving affinity with younger and diverse demographics and the rise of basketball is on upward trajectory with no stop in sight. Personally, Leah has broken barriers by being a female executive and has become an inspiration to many.

Currently, Leah is the Managing Director at NBA Canada, where she is responsible for the development and growth of the league’s business in Canada, including television and digital media, marketing and retail partnerships, licensing, special events and basketball development.

Leah is a recipient of the Canadian Sports Business “5 to Watch” Award (2018), recognizing her as one of the top sports executives in Canada under 40 years old. She is a Board member for Canada Basketball as well as the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada. She is passionate about creative thinking, marketing, women’s empowerment and food. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Leah also has a postgraduate marketing certificate from Ryerson University.
